Neighbour
neighbour.jpg Hailing from Calgary, Canada, 23 year old Matt Dauncey has provided his irresistible blend of disco, funk, deep house, and electro to hungry ears over the last two years through his label Homebreakin Records. 2007 was a year of collaborations, including co-productions and remix projects featuring such diverse artists as Isis Graham (vocalist / producer / DJ), Ken Christensen (East Coast Boogiemen), All Good Funk Alliance, Malente, Jon Delerious, Wax Romeo, DJ Soup and Hoola Hoop, DJ Dav (Kinjo Music, Montreal), Piper Davis (a vancouver-based singer / songwriter), Devon Adams (MC Think Tank), and Homebreakin co-conspirator Cal Bass.

After a landmark year that saw Neighbour release an all-original mix CD entitled "The New Sound of Disco", he went on to destroy parties in Montreal, Orlando, Washington DC, Vancouver, Edmonton, and Nelson (Shambhala Music Festival). Neighbour is pressing forward with recent and upcoming releases on Alphabet Music, Agave Records, Jalapeno Records, Kinjo Music, and of course, his own Homebreakin imprint.

Never one to stand still, Matt is expanding in all directions. His new productions range from dubby, driving deep house to primetime electro-disco
bombs; from classic disco re-edits to in-your-face reworks of funk rarities; and from big-room, no-nonsense bangers to feel-good, hands-in-the-air vocal tracks.
Known for his ability to play hours of his own productions, remixes, and exclusives, he represents the opposite of the blog-driven, mashup
hungry, attention-deficit DJing that is so prevalent these days. Neighbour brings energy, talent, and creativity to the table every time he
plays -and creates pockets of fanatics wherever he goes.
