Mutual House Music fanatics, Ken “ECB“ Christensen and Aaron “Sparky” Sparks, created Alphabet Music in 2006. The goal was simple – to create a limited release label that would be a vinyl collectors dream.
In keeping with its name, Alphabet's releases follow an alphabetical system of cataloging, rather than the numerical system that is typically used. In other words, the VIN numbers of Alphabet releases are not numbers at all, but letters that run from A to Z. Thus, the final product is a limited release label, designed for 26 releases under the English alphabet. For vinyl lovers worldwide, Alphabet is a collector's dream. And thanks to the wonders of today's digital age, Alphabet's music will always be available for purchase online.
A lot of thought went into the creation of Alphabet. Label owners Christensen and Sparks are committed to releasing only the best of the best - rather than succumbing to the pressure to generate revenue by putting out music as quickly and often as possible, they wait to find the tracks that they know will ultimately be considered true "gems."
Alphabet will only have 26 releases, but the music will encompass the entire house spectrum. As the owners say, "we are not looking for a particular sound of house, we are looking for really good house music".
Alphabet will be available on vinyl for a shelf life of one month before it is released digitally. The vinyl can be ordered from N.E.W.S Belgium and can be found digitally all over the Internet including the online on this site.
